A beautiful beach in that boasts shallow water has been named the best in for 2025. Port Glarokavos Lagoon Beach, which sits in the Kassandra Peninsula in Chalkidi, , has been crowned as the best one in a survey conducted by magazine.
Glarokavos Beach, a stunning and highly sought-after destination, welcomes numerous visitors daily. Situated near Pefkochori in Kassandra, Halkidiki, it boasts a vast stretch of sandy shoreline, with pebbles lining the water's edge and azure seas characteristic of Halkidiki's beaches. Its impressive length allows for a variety of experiences, catering to those who prefer beach bars with sunbeds as well as visitors who enjoy a more secluded, unstructured swim.
One user wrote on the TripAdvisor forum: "Very nice beach with several beach bars. Not so crowded, and the day we visited, the water was crystal clean!! The beach is also suitable for families with young children."
A second user wrote: "I just visited this beach and its incredibly clean now. There are still campers but no garbage at all.
"You can choose among a few bars on the western side and an incredibly beautiful wilderness east of the marina. A lot of room outside beach bars and a great place for beginner-level snorkeling."
The beach boasts shallow waters and pine trees stretching almost to the shoreline, creating a vibrant, picturesque setting for swimmers. In some areas, pebbles dot the sandy expanse, adding to the coastal charm.
At the far end of the beach, a small lagoon forms, marked by a distinctive double sandy entrance, which acts as a mini-canal guiding boats toward the nearby harbor. This unique landscape has earned Glarokavos the nickname "Blue Lagoon of Halkidiki."
