Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Microsoft’s yearly Build conference started in Seattle this May 19 and is expected to go on until May 22, 2025. As done in the previous years, it will be streamed live on Microsoft’s YouTube channel. This event marks the especial focus on the generative AI features of Copilot.
Copilot Headlines Microsoft’s AI Push
Microsoft’s AI assistant Copilot will be the main attraction throughout the conference. It is about to undergo several feature enhancements such as:
Semantic search for the Settings, File Explorer, and Windows Search Bar.
Possible revisions to the Copilot Agents introduced back in April so that they would be able to complete intricate multi-step processes.
Copilot’s incremental developments are, as is standard in Microsoft, indicative of the direction in which the company wants to take AI – integrating it into conventional productivity software and outfitting it with more autonomous functions.
Windows 11: Feature Tweaks and AI Memory Tools
Windows 11 is also on the list and is expected to receive minor updates like:
Enhanced Recall (screenshot-based memory tool for Copilot+ PCs)
Further system and UI changes for performance and visual polish.
Alongside all of the leaked features, fans have their hopes set on getting a glimpse of Windows 12.
Microsoft Examines Expanding Azure Functions
Microsoft continues to leverage its cloud platform Azure in furthering its AI investments. Things to look out for include:
Improvements in the AI service offerings to customer bots and virtual agents.
Poss module of Microsoft’s own language model indicating further independence from OpenAI.
Continues relations with OpenAI for their enterprise applications.
Sessions devoted to developers and IT professionals will most likely dive deeper into this topic.
Focus on New Hardware – Possible Teaser for Project Kennan
There were a number of hardware reveals earlier this month but the two in one tease of a handheld project co developed with Asus illustrates that Project Kenan. No additional Surface or Xbox hardware news is expected until the June 8 gaming showcase.
Microsoft Examination: What is on the Line?
Speculation is increasing of Microsoft working on their own LLM which would lessen dependence back on OpenAI and would drastically shift the image of Azure AI’s offerings.
As always, CEO Satya Nadella is expected to further detail the rest of the executives and his plans for the other Microsoft applications along the integrated AI framework while addressing the technical audience as well as enterprise clients.
