Haryana News: The work of repairing the damaged roads due to rain in Haryana is going to start soon. In this regard, the state’s Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Ranbir Gangwa informed that road repair works will be started during the service fortnight, which is starting from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday (17 September).
Minister Gangwa informed that out of 6179 km of roads under the department, the tender process for 3500 km of roads has been completed. The repair work is targeted to be completed by the end of December 2025. Work on the remaining roads will also be started and by 31 March 2026, construction and screwwork of all roads will be completed.
He said that about 15,000 km of roads of the department were repaired in the Defect Liability Period (DLP), so this work was done by the same agencies. However, 127 km of roads were such that the agencies concerned did not work. In such cases, the bank guarantee of the agencies has been confiscated and the repair work was done through other means.
